Korean skincare products have been on a rage for as long as I can remember. While your face gets most of the love, your body will equally need the same. That’s where the Innisfree Green Tea Pure Body Lotion comes in! So, here’s my quick review on this product.
So, what is the Innisfree Green Tea Pure Body Lotion?
According to Innisfree, it’s a body lotion, enriched with Jeju green tea extract to provide deep hydration to the skin.
And it does just that. With a refreshing green tea scent, this lightweight lotion is claimed to be absorbed by the skin as soon as you put it on.
It contains pesticide free green tea extract from Jeju Island and is designed to provide the skin with deep hydration.
Like the other famous products from the Green Tea range by Innisfree, a lot of research was undertaken to make sure that we get the best that Innisfree has to offer. This means a chemical-free main ingredient that will be good for our skin.
My thoughts about it
The Innisfree Green Tea Pure Body Lotion is a great lightweight lotion that smells AHMAYZING. I am very particular with the scent of the products that I use, especially what goes on my face. And this lotion smells very natural.
You know how some products have that chemical-ish smell that really puts you off? Well this is on the opposite spectrum! It smells like as though you’re surrounded in a field of natural green tea products.
Texture wise, it is more of a runny / watery lotion which glides on very easily and gets absorbs pretty fast with little to no residue. It leaves me smelling like as though I had just taken a shower with green tea.
To me, it is more of a spring / summer body lotion as it is a tad too lightweight for winter use.
I have extremely dry skin at times and I find that this helps to moisturise my skin but not for long. I would still have to rely on a heavier lotion to make up for it during cold seasons.
When do I use it?
After showering, towel dry your body, pump 2-3 times and apply on the desired area of your body.
I like to use it after my shower, day and night. As it comes in a 300ml bottle, I tend to generously slap some on before bed or as I am about to step out of the house.
I especially love using it on nights where I include a body scrub during my bath. It feels lovely to put some nice refreshing lotion on after scrubbing away all the dead skin.
In summary
I love it for its lightweight texture and super refreshing green tea scent. The watery texture makes it easy to apply and massage onto my skin. As the lotion moisturises my skin, the scent helps me to unwind and relax.
My skin absorbs the lotion really well, leaving no tacky feeling after application. So I won’t have to wait or worry about having slippery hands.
It is retailed at RM57.00 for a 300ml bottle, which to me is fairly priced.
It is a great daily lotion that you can use anytime of the day. I recommend it for spring / summer seasons as well as days where the humidity levels are over the roof. This lotion has served me so well that I will not hesitate to re-purchase!
