REVIEW: Belif Problem Solution Moisturiser

When I first came across the brand Belif, I would never have thought it was a Korean brand. The name itself, along with the style and packaging exuded more of an European feel. When I was in the market for a moisturiser, I came across the Belif Problem Solution Moisturiser and decided to try it out. I was looking for a moisturiser for my troubled skin which was caused by stress from work. I say that because my skin would behave very well when I am away on holidays!

So, what is the Belif Problem Solution Moisturiser?

According to Belif:

“A protective moisturizer, formulated with natural white willow bark extract and tea tree oil, which soothe inflammation and redness and fights blemishes without irritation. For sensitive or acne-prone skin types”.

Belif has produced some amazing products with some amazing packaging to boot. They’re pretty upfront with the key ingredients that goes into the product that they slap it on the front of the case in larger fonts than usual. And that heavily influenced my purchase decision.

My thoughts about it

Meant for oily and sensitive skin, this moisturiser has a nice lightweight, milky texture that glides on the skin very easily. Thanks to the tea tree oil and white willow bark extract, this product helps to soothe your skin and reduce any redness. It is also free from any Parabens, Sulfates and Phthalates.

The moisturiser comes in a pump bottle, which is much more hygienic than a tub case. It has a nice medicinal, yet refreshing scent to it.

A little goes a long way with this one. Two to three quick pumps is all it takes for my whole face. However, I do find that it does leave a very thin layer on my skin which is obvious during days with high levels of humidity.

On cooler days, it does gets absorbed into my skin well and washes off the next day without any residue.

When I made this purchase, I had a lot of breakouts and red patches around my T-Zone area. Sometimes, they appear as small pimples and sometimes as bigass zits! And sadly, acne cream offered no solution.

Fortunately for me, I found this moisturiser! It sorted my skin out pretty quickly which I was so grateful for.

When do I use it?

After cleansing your face, pat on some toner and essence then finish off with 2 -3 pumps of this incredible moisturiser.

Thanks to its lightweight texture, I like to use it for both day and night. Whenever I had massive breakouts, my normal moisturiser will take the backseat and the Belif Problem Solution Moisturiser will be shining in its place.

In summary

When I incorporated this lotion into my skincare routine, the results were amazing. It took a while but it did clear my skin and reduce the red patches. Even after switching back to my other moisturiser, it kept my skin clear for longer.

I will turn to it when I start seeing signs of breakout and continue for an additional week before switching back to my normal moisturiser. That way, I go through the product much slower.

It’s a great reliable alternative to your normal daily moisturiser whenever you have any severe or mild breakouts.
